Iran tests new land-to-sea missile

Iran has test-fired a new medium-range land-to-sea missile Tuesday during a military maneuver held in the Persian Gulf, state television reported.
The medium-range missile, dubbed "Kowsar", is capable of resisting electronic jamming systems and is equipped with remote-control and searching systems, the report said, adding that Iran had the capability to mass-produce the new missiles.
The launch of "Kowsar" is the Islamic Republic's fourth successful test-firing of new models of weapons during the week-long war game in the Gulf which started on March 31 and will last till April 6.
